Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective April 2026 | All Sales Channels | Version 1.0

These terms govern all cancellations and refund requests across all iTurn service categories. Any ambiguity or conflict between verbal communication by a salesperson and this published policy shall be resolved in favour of this document.

1. General Terms & Definitions

Key Definitions

  • “Cancellation Fee” = percentage of the total product fee, not of the amount already paid.
  • “Total Course Fee” = the listed full price of the course, irrespective of advance paid.
  • “Session Availed” = any driving session that has been attended or commenced.
  • “RTO Application Submitted” = the point at which the Learners License application is filed on the official government RTO portal.
  • “Learners License Issued” = the point at which the government-issued Learners License document is in the customer’s possession.

Refund Processing

  • All approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within the timelines in Section 7.
  •  If the cancellation fee exceeds the amount paid, the customer owes nothing further and the amount paid is fully forfeited.
  • Cancellations must be formally submitted — verbal requests to a salesperson are not sufficient.

2. Courses — Cancellation & Refund Policy (C1–C7)

Courses have a three-stage cancellation framework tied to progress through the government licensing process. The cancellation fee increases at each stage to reflect the administrative and operational costs committed by iTurn. Stage 1 – Pre-Application: RTO Learners application NOT yet submitted. Cancellation fee: 15% of total course fee. Stage 2 – Pre-Learners: RTO application submitted but Learners License NOT yet issued. Cancellation fee: 30% of total course fee. Stage 3 – Post-Learners: Learners License has been issued. No refund – 100% of fee is forfeited.

iTurn provides training and facilitation services only. The issuance of a Learner’s License, Driving License, or successful completion of any government test is subject to government authority decisions. iTurn does not guarantee any specific outcome.

3. Subscriptions — Cancellation & Refund Policy (S1–S5)

Subscriptions grant access to a block of driving sessions. The refund eligibility is determined by a single criterion: whether any session has been attended.

A “session availed” means any driving class that has been commenced — even partially — for any vehicle type covered by the subscription. Partial usage does not entitle the customer to a pro-rated refund. Subscriptions are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another person or converted into credit for a different product.

4. Drives / Rides — Cancellation & Refund Policy (D1–D4)

The 15-minute free cancellation window is measured from the server-confirmed booking timestamp (the moment payment is confirmed), not from when the user begins the booking flow.

5. Non-Refundable Services (R, A, T, L, O, RS)

The following services are non-refundable except in cases of service non-delivery, regulatory failure, or where required under applicable law. These fees are either remitted directly to government authorities, cover third-party processing costs that cannot be recovered, or trigger immediate resource deployment.

R3 Retest Fee — Both 2 & 4 Wheeler Non-refundable. Paid to RTO authority on submission.
R4 Learners Retest Fee Non-refundable. Paid to RTO authority on submission.
A1 Application Fee — 2 Wheeler Non-refundable. Government filing and processing costs.
A2 Application Fee — 4 Wheeler Non-refundable. Government filing and processing costs.
A3 Application Fee — Both 2 & 4 Wheeler Non-refundable. Government filing and processing costs.
T1 Test Fee — 2 Wheeler Non-refundable. RTO driving test scheduling fee.
T2 Test Fee — 4 Wheeler Non-refundable. RTO driving test scheduling fee.
T3 Test Fee — Both 2 & 4 Wheeler Non-refundable. RTO driving test scheduling fee.
L1 Learners License Renewal Non-refundable once RTO application submitted.
O1 Own Vehicle Training — 1 hr Non-refundable. Instructor deployed on booking confirmation.
RS1 RTO Service — License Renewal Non-refundable. RTO submission and processing service fee.
RS2 RTO Service — Address Change No fee charged. No refund applicable.

6. Channel-Specific Terms

Mobile App & Website
  • Cancellations via the iTurn app or website are processed in real time.
  • The applicable cancellation fee and refund amount are displayed to the customer before confirmation.
  • Refund confirmation is sent via in-app notification, SMS, and email.
Direct Salesperson
  • Customers who purchased through a salesperson must submit a written cancellation to support@iturn.in.
  • Request must include: full name, registered mobile number, product purchased, date of purchase, and reason.
  • The salesperson cannot offer different terms, discounts, or waivers of cancellation fees. This policy prevails in all cases.
  • Processing time for salesperson-sourced cancellations: 3–5 working days from receipt of written request.
In case of any discrepancy between what a salesperson communicated verbally and the terms of this policy, the published policy on www.iturn.in shall be the final authority.

7.Refund Processing Timelines

8. iTurn-Initiated Cancellations

If iTurn cancels a session, course, or booking due to operational reasons, instructor unavailability, vehicle breakdown, or force majeure:
  • Full refund of the amount paid will be processed within 3 working days. No cancellation fee is charged to the customer.
  • For courses, if iTurn cannot resume services within 14 days, the customer may choose a full refund or a credit note valid for 12 months.
  • Customers are notified via app notification, SMS, and email.

9. Disputes & Escalation

  • Customer Support: support@iturn.in — Response within 24 hours
  • Grievance Officer: grievance@iturn.in — Response within 48 hours
